VAPID Goals
A short list of more fuzzy, abstract goals that I am explicitly putting as VAPID (CPG Grey!). I actually find nothing wrong with VAPID goals - as you mature and tackle larger and larger problems, the abstraction is an advantage to not get bogged down on a single solution or path.
For me, the issue with VAPID goals is the stress - I know they need to be done, I just don’t know when or how to do them. Rapid fire:
Figure out better communication I’m a very not information dense person, I kind of just yap without consideration. Which is a step up from saying nothing. But not great. Maybe need to up empathy and think about what other people want.
Figure out long term work prioritization - I suck at long term goals and working coherently towards them. I tend to leverage the harness of my interests - that takes me far when it works. But I think I need a bit more structure, especially for something like work.
Health. This is not so VAPID. There are gyms nearby, healthy eating is not hard for me - I just stopped cooking because I’m out of energy and stressing about my career. I also have yet to get a physical or dentist appointment this year - stop that, book it.
Reading books. I have so many physical books and even more PDFs that I’ve yet to read. Gotta read.
